  • Hosting relevant talks and workshops to enhance diversity and inclusion.
  • Making it possible for students and staff to attend conferences focused on attracting outstanding underrepresented high school students to the College of Chemistry.
  • Crucial resources and services for undergraduate transfer students, who make up the majority of our first-generation college students.
  • Hiring of two new leadership positions focused on advancing our College’s DEIB efforts: a senior faculty position, Associate Dean of DEIB Anne Baranger, and a new Chief Diversity Officer position, which we are currently hiring for!
  • Expanded mentorship and research opportunities for undergraduate students
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Fellowships for graduate students.

Our faculty leadership team and Advisory Board members have come together to challenge you to join them by making a donation to our DEIW Fund today to help create a more diverse and inclusive community at the College of Chemistry. All donations up to $999 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $10,000, and all donations of $1,000 or more will receive a personal thank you from our new Associate Dean of DEIB, Professor Anne Baranger.
