Support the collection and programmatic needs of the Earth Sciences & Map Library.
Housing everything from aerial photos to ZIP code maps — and an array of interesting items in-between — the Earth Sciences & Map Library develops research-level collections and services to support the teaching, research, and learning needs of the Department of Earth and Planetary Science, the Department of Geography, and the Seismological Laboratory. A recent show-and-tell included maps and atlases providing a sense of place for the life and exploits of Alexander Hamilton, whose posthumous popularity has reached new heights thanks to the eponymous hit musical. The library includes over 140,000 volumes and nearly half a million maps and aerial photos, which come from organizations and governmental agencies from across the world.
