The Art History/Classics Library houses collections that directly support programs in art history, art practice, classics, ancient history, and Mediterranean archaeology. The library houses the Fine Arts Collection with over 180,000 volumes, built specifically to support the academic and research programs in the History of Art and Art Practice departments as well as the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. This collection is actively used by students and faculty in related disciplines, such as classical studies, visual culture, literature, studio art, dramatic arts, film studies, architecture, history, cultural studies, archaeology, museum studies, material culture, new media, area studies, and philosophy.
