Berkeley Food Institute
At the Berkeley Food Institute, we leverage University of California resources in partnership with communities to shape a just farm and food system. Our vision is rooted in urban and rural agroecology, good food access, fair and healthy jobs, and racial equity.
For this year's Big Give, we are launching our 2024-2025 academic year Student Research Grant Program! Our Big Give goal of $10,000 will support UC Berkeley undergraduate and graduate student farm and food systems research.
With your gift, you join us in supporting farm and food systems research by:
- Funding Cal students up to $1,000 to alleviate the costs of research supplies, travel, interviewee honoraria, or anything else necessary to complete their research.
- Advancing the food systems research community on the UC Berkeley campus
