Help provide important support for conducting interviews with leading citizens of the West.
The Oral History Center documents the history of California, the nation, and the interconnected global arena, producing carefully researched, audio- and video-recorded, transcribed oral histories as well as interpretative historical materials for the widest possible use.
Hubert Howe Bancroft conducted interviews in the 1860s in support of his 39-volume history of the West. Over the decades, we have conducted 4,000 interviews, the vast majority of which have been transcribed and made available online.
Your support will allow us to continue to expand our collection of interviews on a wide variety of topics.
