A gift to the Vietnam Tooth Project supports undergraduate students to participate in high-quality research that improves oral health.
Your gift to the Vietnam Tooth Project provides core support and enables students to participate in research on oral health and learn about oral health literacy. This kind of flexible funding is especially important for underrepresented or first-generation students to attain high-quality research experiences that result in abstracts, presentations, and publications. Since 2011, we have sent more than 40 undergraduates to Vietnam, supported 20 students to submit abstracts to research meetings, and created 7 faculty- or student-driven manuscripts. We are training a new generation of students in research methods and health equity that can help them work globally to address health disparities.
