The Art Rosenfeld Award for Energy Efficiency

Support talented and deserving graduate students committed to research on energy efficiency.

Gifts to this endowed fund make a long-lasting impact by providing fellowships to UC Berkeley graduate students doing innovative research in technologies and policies that will enable more efficient uses of resources. This includes technical, social science, and policy research that can lead to reductions in the use of energy.

The award was created in honor of the Berkeley professor who was a global champion of energy conservation and technologies that support it. Renowned Berkeley physicist Art Rosenfeld pioneered the efficiency standards that made California an international leader in energy conservation and sustainability. His ideas and successful advocacy now save Americans billions of dollars each year.
