Help support students facing financial strain and remove inequities in environmental design education at the College of Environmental Design.
Financial barriers to technology prevent CED’s low-income students from sharing in hands-on, creative, and collaborative learning. Thirty-eight percent of our undergraduates are Pell Grant recipients, and 60 percent require financial assistance. Student access to CED’s state-of-the-art design software Fabrication Shop and 3D printing can cost up to $1,800 annually. These fees are not covered in a student’s financial aid package.
Without access to these key technologies, CED students miss career and skill development opportunities that are afforded by peers with greater financial resources. Your support enables us to meet the needs of our students who are facing financial strain and dramatically reduce inequities in environmental design education.
