Student Support
Your support provides financial resources for students to undertake cutting-edge research on topics in Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies, including support for field research in the region, acquisition of languages of the region, and presentation of research at academic conferences and symposia.
Support for Slavic and East European Languages at Berkeley
Contributions also ensure that languages of our world area are well represented by supporting the teaching of Armenian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, and Russian.
Public Outreach
Your gift helps underwrite conferences, symposia, and public events that examine topics in Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies, contributing to building community among faculty, students, and the public. One prime example is the annual Berkeley-Stanford Conference on Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, now in its fifth decade.
