Your support of the UC Jazz Ensembles enriches the lives and student experience of our members, fostering a community for the performance, study, and promotion of jazz.
Founded in 1967, UC Jazz Ensembles provides students with outstanding instruction in the performance of jazz. The ensembles have performed for many audiences, including the Dalai Lama at the Greek Theater and Al Gore at the opening of the Blum Center. Ever a presence on campus, they can be heard frequently playing for students in Lower Sproul Plaza and at various departmental engagements and off-campus venues. UC Jazz is supported by a world-class faculty of some of the San Francisco Bay Area's finest musicians. Your gifts help provide rehearsal facilities, teaching materials, music, instruments, studio equipment, and listening material for our Duke Ellington Memorial Library.
