The Phi Beta Kappa Graduate Fellowship Fund
Fund graduate fellowships for students in the dissertation writing stage of a doctoral program at Berkeley.
Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha of California — the UC Berkeley chapter founded in 1898 — welcomes donations to maintain its program of graduate fellowships for members of Phi Beta Kappa. Gifts to this fund, supplemented by the income of a small endowment, annually support two to four fellowships awarded on a competitive basis to Phi Beta Kappa members who are in the stage of writing their dissertations in a doctoral program at Berkeley. These fellowships typically support summer research travel or allow the student more time for research and writing undistracted by a job or teaching commitments.
