Political Economy

Thank you for supporting the political economy major program at the College of Letters and Science.

The political economy undergraduate major examines the relationship between politics and economics in modern societies, focusing special attention on problems of both domestic and international policy.

The major focuses on contemporary problems while building on a strong historical foundation. Students can choose to study economic development, trade and investment, global inequality, climate change, resource distribution, gender relations, financial systems, information technology, or health policy.

Your gift supports the programs and activities of the political economy degree program so our students are able to make the most of their Berkeley journey and make an impact beyond Berkeley.
