Your support allows the Department of English to meet core needs and facilitate world-class research and teaching.

Philanthropy allows us to support our students on a financial level and to sustain many of the programs that enrich our students’ experience with literature, extending it beyond the formal classroom setting. Your support helps fund transformative student experiences such as trips to local theater productions and museums as well as travel to archives and conferences. Gifts also allow us to support our graduate students with fellowships, subsidize student book-buying, recognize exceptional student work with prizes, invite renowned writers and scholars to speak with our students, and foster community through support of our graduate and undergraduate associations.
