Big Give is over, but you can still support your favorite programs.
Military Science (Army ROTC)

Your support of the Military Science (Army ROTC) Department Fund helps us produce the finest Army officers through the development of scholars, athletes, and leaders.

Our mission is to help build confidence in writing and enhance students’ ability to express rich ideas thoughtfully. Our philosophy of teaching includes small class size, careful attention to building your critical reading and thinking skills along with your writing, personalized attention, and a great deal of practice writing and revising.

University lecturers with advanced professional training teach writing as a craft and work with students at all levels of expertise: those wishing to satisfy the university’s composition requirements, intermediate writers looking to expand their horizons, and seasoned scribes who want to hone their skills in our upper-division courses.

We’re proud to say that students frequently point to College Writing Programs (CWP) courses and faculty as among the best they’ve had at Berkeley.

The Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is a unique elective course of study taken in conjunction with any academic major that, upon graduation, leads to a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. We at the Golden Bear Battalion continue the tradition of excellence through a rigorous and highly supportive program centered on the development of scholars, athletes, and leaders.

Help fund scholarships, tuition assistance, and monthly stipends for ROTC students. Please consider making a gift to the Military Science (Army ROTC) Department Fund today.
