Support research, teaching, and outreach at UC Berkeley’s easternmost field station in the Sierra Nevada.
Sagehen Creek Field Station is a wondrous living laboratory serving researchers, educators, writers, and artists throughout California and parts of Nevada. Our hosted research projects investigate contemporary questions of climate, biodiversity, water resources, wildlife behavior, ecosystem health, and wildfire mitigation.
We host educational programs for river geomorphology, entomology, and biodiversity; environmental education camps for every 5th grader in Truckee; and outreach camps for at-risk youths in California.
For the first time since our founding in 1951, we are counting on friends of Sagehen to help us as we support the communities that find data, inspiration, and illumination in this gem of the eastern Sierra Nevada.
