The Fund for Excellence in Biological Sciences will help our division remain at the forefront of the life sciences, generating profound shifts in our understanding of living organisms. Many world altering discoveries — from CRISPR to immuno-oncology — originated at Berkeley, thanks in part to the climate of rigorous and creative cross-disciplinary exchange in our division. The fund provides unrestricted support to the division, allowing us to relieve the areas of greatest need for our students and researchers.
