BAMPFA seeks to inspire the imagination, ignite critical dialogue, and activate community engagement through art, film, and other forms of creative expression. Through its locally connected and globally relevant exhibitions, collections, research resources, and public events, BAMPFA engages audiences from the campus, community, and beyond. BAMPFA’s assortment of more than 23,000 artworks and 17,500 films represents a diversity of global cultures and historical periods. Each year, BAMPFA presents contemporary and historical exhibitions of art and film with more than 20 gallery exhibitions and 450 film programs.
