Help public health graduate students who want to go out in the world and improve health outcomes for all.
This award honors Cheri Pies, a clinical professor at Berkeley Public Health, who was a leader in and advocate for health for women, children, and families for over 30 years.
Your gift will support a yearly award given to one or more graduate students at Berkeley Public Health who best apply any of the core concepts of Life Course Theory to their residency, thesis, capstone, dissertation, or other type of scholarly project.
Your support builds the field of scholars who strategically and thoughtfully promote health as a cumulative, intergenerational outcome, an outcome that is influenced by the interactions an individual and their family have with their physical, economic, and cultural environments throughout their lives.
