The Baxter Liberty Initiative was established with the support of the Honorable Frank E. Baxter, Ambassador of the United States of America.
The Baxter Liberty Initiative, a program of the Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science, brings to campus high-profile intellectual leaders whose scholarship focuses on the ideal of freedom. The initiative’s annual lecture brings to campus such accomplished speakers as Dr. Arthur C. Brooks, American Enterprise Institute, and Greg Lukianoff, president and CEO of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) and author of Freedom from Speech.
