Plant & Microbial Biology Graduate Student Support

Support the Plant and Microbial Biology Graduate Student Support Fund to ensure that our graduate students have the resources they need to achieve their academic goals.

The Department of Plant and Microbial Biology (PMB) administers two top-ranked graduate programs. Our Ph.D. program in plant biology trains in modern research areas, using cell and molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry approaches to study light-dependent gene regulation, developmental programming, and intra- and intercellular signaling pathways. Our Ph.D. microbiology program offers a breadth of understanding from the molecular to the cellular levels of organization as well as the interactions of microbes — beneficial and pathogenic — with other organisms. Our students collaborate with faculty from many disciplines through an integrated, specialized program of study.

Your gift to this fund helps pay student fees, tuition, stipends, and research projects. All PMB graduate students are fully supported for five years. Your support will help ensure that our department’s student funding remains competitive so that we can continue to recruit and retain the very best.
