Destination College Advising Corps Fund

Support the Arthur Arzola Jr. Scholarship

Help Us Reach Our Goal of $1,800 to Keep Art’s Legacy Alive

The Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC) is dedicated to increasing college access for high school students by placing highly trained, recent college graduates in schools across Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara counties as full-time College Adviser Fellows.

One of our own, Arthur Arzola Jr. (Art), embodied this mission wholeheartedly. As a DCAC College Adviser in San Bernardino from 2011-2013, Art was a passionate advocate for students, ensuring they had the guidance and support to reach higher education. Tragically, Art’s life was cut short in a fatal bus crash while accompanying students on a college trip to Humboldt State University, where he had continued his work in college access.

To honor his unwavering dedication, the former Destination College Alumni Association (DCAA) created the Arthur Arzola Jr. Scholarship to support Adviser Alumni in pursuing post-baccalaureate education. But with DCAA’s dissolution, the scholarship has lost its funding—and we need your help to keep it alive. Every dollar donated goes directly to the scholarship fund.

Why Your Support Matters

By contributing to this fund, you ensure that DCAC College Advisers and Alumni can continue their education and expand their impact on students, just as Art did. We aim to raise $1,800 to directly fund this year’s scholarship.

Let’s continue Art’s legacy and ensure that future generations of advisers can follow in his footsteps. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference.
