WHY WE NEED YOU
University Health Services (UHS) truly believes in a campus that improves student well-being and meets the health needs of the changing demographics of our university. In addition to our health services, we provide a safety net for our growing student community, many of whom have no other healthcare options or need assistance covering healthcare costs.
Your philanthropic donation will directly support a new health equity fund that directs money to students in need with out-of-pocket expenses for medical, mental health, and dental services at UHS and in the external community. Donations will support the Health Opportunity Fund to assist with student fees at UHS and support efforts by partners such as the Basic Needs Center to help reimburse students for healthcare costs in the broader community.
WHO WE ARE
UHS provides comprehensive medical, mental health, insurance, and health promotion services to all Berkeley students and health programs for faculty and staff. Our services are designed to minimize the impact of illness, emotional distress, and injury on studies and work.
Health equity, where every person no matter their background has the opportunity to attain their highest level of well-being, is a vital component of everything we do. Providing access to seamless, integrated, high-quality health programs and services for students, staff, and faculty is at our core.
