By signing up as an Ambassador, you can build excitement, drive support, and promote your favorite program. Plus, you can win serious cash prizes to allocate directly to the sport you love!
I'm in! How do I start?
- Sign up with your email. If you were an Ambassador during previous years, you'll still need to sign up.
- After activating your profile via email, you'll receive another invite that will take you to your Ambassador Dashboard, where you can choose the sport you want to represent, grab your unique referral link, and track your fundraising progress.
- Spread the word about Go For Gold! Need help getting started? Review the Ambassador Guide for helpful copy templates.
- Complete the You+2 Challenge: Get at least two donors to give via your referral link and you'll be entered in a drawing to win two free tickets to a Cal football home game. Note: No donation necessary to be entered in the drawing. UC Berkeley employees are ineligible to win.
- Compete to be a top ambassador: Ambassadors with the most unique donors will win up to $5,000 in prize money for their favorite Cal Athletics program.
What is You+2?
You+2 Ambassadors are key players in helping Go For Gold be successful every year. As a You+2 Ambassador, you go the extra mile to increase both outreach and impact on behalf of your favorite Cal Athletics program. Becoming a You+2 Ambassador is easy, just:
- Get at least two other people to make a gift via your referral link.
- Get ready to be entered in a drawing to win two tickets to a home Cal football game this season!
- Note: No donation necessary to be entered into the drawing. UC Berkeley employees are ineligible to win. 1 entry per ambassador.
The Top Ambassador Contest
This contest is built for our most competitive Ambassadors! The top three Ambassadors who bring in the highest number of unique donors and make a gift themselves will also win prize money to award to their chosen program. Note: No donation necessary to be entered into the contest. UC Berkeley employees are ineligible to win.
- First place: $5,000
- Second place: $3,500
- Third place: $2,000
